It was in 1992/1993 when I saw the demo 'State of the Art' by SpaceBalls. I instantly fell in love with the Amiga. It still took 3 years when I got my hands on an Amiga 500 with 1MB. The Amiga is an incredible and powerful machine. The Amiga was a great success in Europe (especially in Germany). The Amiga was also true multitasking and featured a graphical userinterface (known as Amiga OS). Although all Amiga's mentioned here are not real game-consoles, it produced a lot of legendary games like : Lemmings, Pinball Dreams, Worms, etc.
Because the Amiga's were also great in games, commodore released 2 gameconsoles based on amiga hardware. First there was the CDTV based on the Amiga 500. This machine never became a success. More succesfull was the Amiga CD32 wich was based on the Amiga 1200. This console was the first true 32 bit console.
