The Lynx was the world's first hand-held color video game system. There are 2 models: Lynx Classic and Lynx II. The first model was a heavy thick handheld. The later model was larger but thinner and had a few enhancements. Both models could be configured to be used for left-handed people. (The screen rotated 180 degrees). There were quiet a few games out for the lynx. The game-cartridges were small and extremely thin. No other handheld today uses such thin cartridges.
The console was designed by the Amiga team. Linking 2 lynx together, using the ComLynx, offered true multi-player competition. Both players needed the game card. There is a 'limit' of 18 players via ComLynx.
